This week the whole school is holding a Burns supper for the pupil’s, staff and the island elders. We will be reading them a selection of poems, playing music and asking them about the island. We would like to know more about what the island was like in the past to learn how climate change is affecting it. Then they will be joining us for haggis neeps and tatties at lunch time. We celebrate Burns night by remembering Robbie Burns, telling poems to each other and eating a traditional Scottish meal. We are going to be wearing tartan if we want. When we have read our poems, the elders will vote for their favourite.
